Minor Surgical Services
At BE Medical Centre and Cosmetic Clinic, we offer a range of minor surgical procedures for the cosmetic or functional removal of skin lesions, lumps, and other soft tissue conditions. These procedures are performed in our fully equipped, accredited clinic by experienced medical practitioners.
Conditions we commonly treat include:
- Sebaceous cysts, milia, and mucinous cysts (including lips or oral mucosa)
- Lipomas (benign fatty lumps)
- Facial or body moles (assessed for suitability and safety before removal)
- Ingrown toenails – including partial or full nail removal procedures
- Earlobe repair for stretched or torn lobes
- Keloid scar management (e.g. intralesional treatments)
- Skin tags, warts, and other benign skin growths
- Scar revision and birthmark removal, where appropriate
These procedures are typically done under local anaesthetic with minimal downtime. Pre-procedure consultations are required to assess suitability, explain the risks and benefits, and to ensure the lesion is safe for cosmetic removal. All excised tissue may be sent for histopathology as per medical guidelines.
Results and healing times vary between individuals. Medicare rebates may not apply for procedures performed for cosmetic reasons.
