Dr Raj Selvarajan

Dr Raj Selvarajan takes a patient-centred approach, taking time to explain diagnoses and treatment options to support informed decision-making.
After completing his undergraduate medical training in India, Dr Selvarajan moved to the United Kingdom in 1998 for postgraduate education. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS) in 2002 and later completed Vocational Training in General Practice, becoming a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP, UK) in 2004. In 2014, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He has practiced in both the UK and Australia across a wide range of procedural areas.
VASECTOMY AND MEN’S HEALTH PROCEDURES:
Dr Selvarajan undertook structured training in no-scalpel vasectomy under local anaesthesia in 2007 and has since performed a substantial number of procedures in both the UK and Australia. He established dedicated vasectomy services in both countries, including the Scalpel Free Vasectomy Clinics in Queensland. SKIN CANCER MEDICINE AND EDUCATION:
Dr Selvarajan holds a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland and is a Senior Lecturer in the University’s School of Medicine. He is involved in teaching fellow GPs in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer and supports the development of skills-based education in this field.
CLINICAL TEACHING AND PROCEDURAL TRAINING:
Dr Selvarajan is a lead educator and course director in Advanced Clinical Procedures through HealthCert Education. He regularly delivers training for fully registered Australian GPs seeking to develop practical procedural skills in vasectomy, minor surgery, and skin cancer care. He actively contributes to postgraduate education, with practitioners from across Australia attending his workshops and sessions.
